Macerich is currently adding 1.4 million square feet of office, hotel, residential and retail space directly adjacent to Tysons Corner Center, one of the nation's premier shopping destinations attracting tens of millions of shoppers each year from around the world. Highlights include:
  • Tysons Tower, a 500,000 sf, 20-story trophy office that is currently home to Intelsat and Deloitte;
  • VITA, a multi-family residential tower (Opening January 2015);
  • Hyatt Regency Hotel (Opening January 2015);

At 1.5 acres, The Plaza joins the Hyatt, residential tower, Tysons Tower, mall, and Metro's Silver Line platform seamlessly together. The Plaza is truly Fairfax County's new "downtown."

Broadway Plaza

Broadway Plaza, one of the country's most-successful open-air centers anchored by Nordstrom, Neiman Marcus and Macy's, is currently underway with rebuilding new retail buildings, new parking garage and enhanced public spaces. The thoughtful expansion preserves the property's considerable appeal while adding more opportunities for retailers to bring their best concepts to Broadway Plaza.

Designed in phases, the project will open Fall 2015 through Spring 2017.

Fashion Outlets of Niagara Falls

Fashion Outlets of Niagara Falls USA, a 525,000 sf outlet mall located in Niagara Falls, New York, boasts more than 150 top names, including Saks Fifth Avenue OFF 5th Outlet, Barneys New York, Burberry, J Crew, Kate Spade, Michael Kors, Nike Factory Stores, Under Armour and more, in addition to appealing food court and dining options.

Macerich is currently underway with a 175,000 sf expansion to add 50 new retailers, making Fashion Outlets of Niagara Falls one of the largest outlet malls in the country.

Los Cerritos Center

Los Cerritos Center will be the hub of exciting changes over the next two years as it undergoes a significant renovation. Upgraded elements will include new flooring, lighting, mall entrances, exterior directional and monument signage. A 200,000 sf redevelopment reconfigures the well-storied LA property to include new Big Box retail, a 16-screen theater and other brands that are important to the property's expansive and diverse consumer base. Construction runs August 2014 through Summer 2015.

Scottsdale Fashion Square

Arizona's premier luxury shopping destination, Scottsdale Fashion Square offers a compelling retail experience in the heart of the country's fastest growing major metropolitan area. We are adding 135,000 sf of additional retailer space to the 1.8M sf center just north of Barney's, fronting Scottsdale Road. The theatre experience will be one-of-a-kind for the Phoenix metro market – showing both mainstream movies as well independent/art films. The project will open in Spring 2015.

Santa Monica Place

Macerich is pleased to announce the addition of a 48,000 sf, state-of-the-art, 12-screen ArcLight cinema that is scheduled to open in Spring 2015. Located on the third level Dining Deck above Bloomingdale's, the new ArcLight Cinema will complement Santa Monica Place's contemporary, luxury retailers and high-profile distinguished dining options.

In addition, the Light Rail station at the corner of 4th and Colorado is slated for Spring 2016 opening, connecting downtown LA to Santa Monica within 50 minutes. Expected ridership is 62,000 passengers/day by 2030.
