Program Overview
School Cents® is a grassroots community program that allows participating schools to earn points fromqualifiedpurchases made at a participating shopping center. School families, staff and community supporters submitreceipts from participating retailers to earn points for their school. Additional points may be offered forspecial promotions, events or marketing activities at the sole discretion of the Sponsor.
At the conclusion of the program period, participating schools receive monetary awards based on their totalpoints ranking compared to other participating schools.

Only receipts dated and submitted within this period will be considered eligible.
Return to topEligibility and School Requirements
To participate, each school should meet the following requirements:
- Designate a dedicated School Cents® coordinator to manage the program at the school level
- Be a full-time school (homeschool programs and virtual schools are not eligible)
- Be located within the primary or secondary trade areas of the participating shopping center, as determined by Sponsor
- Meet the following grade eligibility requirements: elementary or middle schools, including but not limited to K-5, K-8, 6-8 and 7-8 schools
- Meet the minimum enrollment requirement of 200 students
- Be a public, private or charter school, unless otherwise specified
Macerich shopping centers reserve the right to approve participating schools that may not meet full criteriaattheir sole discretion.
By enrolling, the school certifies that participation does not violate any internal policies or guidelinesandthat the enrolling representative is authorized to act on behalf of the school.

- Each center program is limited to 10 participating schools.
- Additional schools beyond this limit will be placed on a waiting list.
- A school may only participate in one shopping center's program.
Sponsor reserves the right to approve additional participating schools at its sole discretion.
Return to topReceipt Submission and Point Allocation
- Qualifying receipts must be dated and logged between August 1, 2026 and March 31, 2027.
- Receipts must be original, dated and legible.
- Paper and digital receipts are allowed.
- Receipts are subject to verification of eligibility, including the date of receipt, submission date, store location and purchase amount.
- Receipts may only be submitted once per purchase transaction.
- Receipts must be from retailers and restaurants located within the participating shopping center. Receipts from retailers and restaurants in adjacent parcels and shopping centers that are not the host shopping centers will not be accepted unless otherwise stated at the beginning of the program.
- Receipts will be submitted through the School Cents mobile app or web app, launching by program launch.
- Purchase of gift cards is not eligible for receipt submission.
- Anyone can support a participating school in the School Cents program.
Points Structure
5 pts earned per $1.00 spent (rounded to the nearest dollar)
- Sponsor may increase or decrease point values or offer bonus point opportunities at its discretion.
- The maximum number of points earned for one transaction is 100,000.
Prohibited Activities
- Store owners or employees may not collect receipts on behalf of schools.
- Shoppers may not be solicited for receipts on shopping center property.
- Receipts found on the ground, in trash receptacles or abandoned locations may not be submitted.
- Credit card statements, store credit payments and images of bank transactions are not accepted.
Violations may result in point deductions, removal of a school coordinator or expulsion from theprogram.

At the conclusion of the program, prizes will be awarded based on total points earned.
The prize schedule shall only apply if there are 10 participating schools. If there are fewer than 10participating schools, then not all prizes shall be awarded and prize money shall not be reallocated.
Checks will be distributed to school coordinators at an awards ceremony at the conclusion of the program.

Selection of Winning Schools
Each of the 10 participating schools that fulfills the minimum program requirements will receive a donation.Final rankings are determined by total accumulated points during the program period.

By enrolling, participating schools consent to receive periodic communications related to the School Cents®program and agree that the Sponsor may use the school's name and logo in promotional materials withoutadditional authorization.

Sponsor reserves the right to modify, shorten or cancel the program at any time at its sole discretion.Participation in the current program does not guarantee eligibility in future programs.

General Terms
Use of the School Cents® website and participation in the program is subject to the Sponsor's Terms of Use,Privacy Policy and all applicable local, state and federal laws. Sponsor reserves the right to update theseterms at any time without notice to participating schools. Any changes or modifications will be effectiveuponthe public posting of the revisions.
Sponsor is not responsible for technical errors, data inaccuracies or issues related to receipt submission,website access or participating merchants.
Authority
You are representing to Sponsor that you have the power and authority to accept these terms, that you arecapableof assuming, and do assume, any risks related to the use of this site and its content, and that youunderstandand accept the terms, conditions and risks relating to your use.
Limitation on Liability
Sponsor is not responsible for incorrect or inaccurate transcription of data, for problems related to any oftheequipment or programming associated with the School Cents™ Program or utilized by a participating school,forany human error, any interruption, deletion, omission, defect, or line failure of any telephone network orelectronic transmission, for any problems relating to computer equipment, software, inability to access thewebsite or online service, or any other technical or non-technical errors or malfunctions.
In no event will Sponsor, its affiliates, employees, partners, suppliers or other third parties mentioned atthissite be liable to you or to any third party for any special, incidental, indirect, consequential or punitivedamages whatsoever (including, without limitation, those resulting from lost profits, lost data or businessinterruption), arising out of the use, inability to use, or the results of use of this site, any websiteslinkedto this site, or the materials or information contained at any or all such sites, whether based on warranty,contract, tort or any other legal theory and whether or not foreseeable or whether Sponsor has been advisedofthe possibility of such damages. Applicable law may not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental orconsequential damages, so the above limitation or exclusion may not apply to you.
Sponsor, its parent companies, affiliates, subsidiaries, advertising, promotion and fulfillment agencies arenotresponsible for any products or services offered by the participating merchants. Sponsor and its affiliatesspecifically disclaim any representations or warranties, express or implied, regarding the products andservicesoffered by any rewards partners, including any implied warranty of merchantability or fitness for aparticularpurpose and implied warranties coming from course of dealing or course of performance, to the fullest extentallowable by law.
Indemnification
You agree to defend, indemnify and hold Sponsor and its affiliates, employees, partners, suppliers andrelatedthird parties harmless from and against any and all claims, damages, costs and expenses, includingattorney'sfees, arising from or in any way related to your use of the site or participating in the School Cents™Program,any material contained therein by you, or by your breach of the terms of these Terms.
Governing Law
The laws of the State of California shall govern these terms. Each participant hereby expressly consents toexclusive jurisdiction and venue in the courts located in Los Angeles, California for all matters arising inconnection with these terms or participation in the program.
