As a member of the Accounts Payable team, the Accounts Payable Associate’s role is to support the Accounts Payable team by accurately and timely setting up new vendors for the team to process invoices into the accounts payable system. The Accounts Payable Associate will have inquiries from inside and outside customers, so a high level of customer service and communication skills are also necessary to be successful in this role.
Essential Job Functions:
•Support the Accounts Payable Team with Vendor account set up.
•Communicate with new vendors to gather necessary W9 information and discuss payment options.
•Monitor centralized email box to distribute invoices.
•Review expired credit card payments and reissue or cancel appropriately.
•Determine appropriate general ledger account distribution for invoices.
•Create and review excel spreadsheets to analyze data.
•Prepare invoices using PDF converter tool to build invoice files.
•Reconcile vendor statements to vendor balances in accounts payable.
•Handle all vendor inquiries.
•Assist Property Managers and other mall personnel with vendor related questions.
•All other duties as assigned.
Requirements and Qualifications:
•High school degree or certificate equivalency.
•Yardi experience preferred.
•Accounts payable experience preferred but not required.
•Ability to perform basic numerical computations.
•Experience operating a computer and application software.
•Conscientious in meeting established turnaround times.
•Strong verbal and written communication skills.
•Knowledge of W9 and 1099 process preferred
