The Marketing Coordinator will assist the Marketing Managers of Tysons Corner Center, The Shops at North Bridge and Fashion Outlets of Chicago with the day-to-day marketing duties of each respective center. The position will also support Property Management as needed and will be based out of Tysons Corner Center in Tysons, VA.
The Marketing Coordinator will work with the Marketing Manager to implement all corporate and local marketing initiatives with the ever-present goal of driving traffic and sales to all of the properties’ tenants. They will be responsible for the successful execution and upkeep of digital marketing platforms (i.e. websites, email blasts, digital displays, social media, reputation monitoring, and more) as well as administrative tasks and reporting functions for all marketing and business development efforts.
A successful candidate will be well-organized and ambitious with a strong work ethic and the ability to prioritize requests, meeting multiple deadlines while still maintaining top-quality work for other on-going responsibilities. They will be responsible for engaging with customers as well as internal and external stakeholders and will be expected to maintain a professional, helpful attitude.
Essential Job Functions:
•Maintain and update all website content including: property maps, mall hours, contact information, tenant listings, event and sales postings, seasonal campaigns and more.
•Create, review and publish email blasts, for consumer, tourism and All Access audiences.
•Drive social media engagement, planning monthly content, scheduling posts across platforms and routinely engaging with and responding to followers’ outreach.
•Update digital directory and display content weekly or as needed, ensuring that all posted content is timely and relevant and confirming that all media screens are functioning properly.
•Support business development efforts through contract creation and execution, work order scheduling, proof of performance posting, onsite support, and accounts receivable follow-up.
•Support Tysons Corner Center’s marketing events and activations, drafting event layouts, scheduling work orders, soliciting vendors as needed, helping setup onsite, and sharing event results both internally and externally on social media.
•Support tourism initiatives and other marketing programs, such as the Visitor Savings pass, the All Access app, the Meal Voucher program, CVB and Chamber of Commerce relationships as well as incentive and group tour programs.
•Assist with the creation of property management, leasing and marketing materials in addition to compiling and sharing the results of various property initiatives.
•Maintain the malls’ calendar of retailer and property events and activations.
•Perform administrative duties including memo drafting and distribution and maintaining electronic and paper files as needed.
•All other duties as assigned.
Requirements and Qualifications:
•Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications or a related field.
•Minimum of three (3) years’ experience in the retail, marketing and/or shopping center industries.
•Excellent written and verbal communicator with exceptional organizational skills.
•Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast paced environment.
•Highly motivated, team player that can work in digital and in-person work environments.
•Capacity to take ownership of projects both small and large and drive them from start to finish.
•Solid working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint), social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook and Twitter) and other web based applications.
