Leasing Associate, Peripheral Land

Position Description:

The Leasing Associate works directly with senior Leasing personnel to learn all aspects of the Leasing function including: Letter of Intent, lease forms, merchandising, budgets, pro-formas, Legal and Tenant Coordination collaboration and retailer’s business. 

Essential Job Functions:

•Produce Big Box deals, which involves every aspect from generating interest to negotiating significant deal points to ensuring timely tenant openings.
•Become a retail market expert in each trade area for all properties within region of responsibility.
•Develop and maintain ongoing retailer relationships through regular communication and in-person meetings.
•Coordinate and perform site visits with national, regional, and local retailers.
•Create strategic lease plans including leasing assumptions specific for each property and project.
•Interface with multiple departments, including Leasing, Property Management, Development, Tenant Coordination, Legal, and Asset Management.
•Prepare and present deals to Executive Leasing Committee by efficiently summarizing all relevant deal points.
•Attend national and regional ICSC events as well as various corporate functions, including monthly leasing meetings and multiple weekly calls.
•Work closely with core leasing and property teams to collectively achieve property goals, which includes maintaining property budgets.
•Regular travel required.

Requirements:

•Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited four-year college or university.
•Minimum 2+ years’ experience in leasing or related sales experience preferred.
•Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills, including the ability to work effectively in teams.
•Ability to organize and manage multiple tasks in a proficient manner while working in a fast-paced environment.
•Exceptionally strong written and verbal communication skills.
