COMMUNITY PARTNERS
Macerich shopping centers thrive alongside their local communities. We are proud to be an involved community partner and dedicated to making a difference through a combination of employee volunteerism, financial support, in-kind donations and partnerships with local non-profit organizations. Our centers also contribute gift cards, merchandise and use of our centers to a diverse group of non-profit organizations. Macerich believes in contributing to the quality of life of our communities and has assisted food banks, foundations, hospitals, health care organizations, youth programs, performing arts organizations and museums. A few examples of our community partnerships include:
Fairfax County Public Schools’ Classroom on the Mall.
Classes are held at our Tysons Corner Center in Virginia for juniors and seniors to learn financial, organizational and other skills in a realistic business setting.
Heart Gallery NYC.
Queens Center in New York hosts an annual exhibit with Heart Gallery NYC featuring portraits of New York City foster children taken by award winning photographers to raise awareness of the needs of children in foster care and to assist them in finding a permanent family. This month-long exhibit of photographs of foster children led to 400 inquiries about the featured children.
Blue Star Mothers of America.
Mesa Mall in Colorado hosts a variety of on-site events to support our military families. Events have included a Valentine Factory, a care package drive and other holiday events and parties for the families of our soldiers.

Contributions and Guidelines
Macerich selects community involvement projects based on the needs of markets where we have properties, with a preference for efforts that have a long-term impact. Each request is reviewed carefully, however, not all requests can be granted.
Please note Macerich does not support individual pursuits, private foundations, religious groups (except for secular activities open to everyone), service clubs, fraternal organizations or sports teams. Our company and our centers will not support organizations that discriminate on the basis of race, creed, gender, sexual orientation, age, religion, disability or national origin.
Requests for charitable support are considered throughout the year. Contact Charitable.Givings@Macerich.com
