As Senior Vice President of Acquisitions for Macerich, Michael Busenhart is responsible for researching and identifying properties for acquisition or management, development of financing and joint venture relationships. Working with the development and leasing teams, Mr. Busenhart also is involved in the company’s department store relationships.

Prior to joining Macerich in 1983, Mr. Busenhart’s professional expertise includes 10 years with Citibank in various lending positions, with a concentration in the real estate industry. During his last three years with Citibank, Mr. Busenhart managed a department within the Real Estate Industry Division that loaned money exclusively to shopping center developers.
