In a first-of-its kind experience, HGTV partnered with Macerich shopping centers this holiday season to launch Santa HQ, a holiday experience at 10 centers across the nation featuring both virtual and hands-on technology platforms for families and kids of all ages. HGTV’s Santa HQ reinvents the traditional visit to see Santa by offering technology-based experiences and augmented reality allowing families to test their luck with the Naughty Or Nice O’Meter, create an Elfie-Selfie video, and use 'Elf-Ray Vision' to take a peek inside Santa's coveted toy vault – all part of the experience before seeing the big man himself for keepsake photos! Santa’s Workshop and Observatory structures are also home to HGTV’s holiday lounge featuring the best of HGTV talent’s nostalgic holiday moments as well as an inspiring light and audio show featuring RCA Records label, and Grammy-nominated, phenom Pentatonix with their new release "That's Christmas to Me." To date, over 150+ million media impressions have been generated via national media coverage on The Today Show, CNN, USA Today, The Washington Post and across numerous social media sites and popular mommy blogs.
